Tire size help needed!

So i just installed my ome lift and love it. I went 3" all around and now need to figure out what tires fit. I was thinking a 265/75-16 but not sure. I want to go big but whats the biggest that will fit. Thanks all.

I think you may want to go a little bigger on a 3" lift - 32" or 33" would be more appropriate IMO. Post some pics when you get them on.

285 75r16 is roughly a 33" tire and will be the largest you can do without major trimming.

I wanted to buy those but wasn't sure if there were going to be to wide. I am going to have to buy them on amazon anything you guys prefer for the deal.

Go with 285/75/16 pretty much a 33x11.16

I also purchased my tires from amazon and was lucky enough to get them at a good price and free shipping I went with the nitto trail grapplers IMO looks bad ass and performs really great, sadly amazon no longer offers that size with prime, I live in Hawaii and was super shocked, I ordered my wheels and tires on a Sunday by Wednesday they were delivered to my front door

I think 285/75r16s or 305/70r16s look the best. The 305s are the same height as the 285s just a smudge wider. I ran 285s on my 3" lift. I did have to use a 1" wheel spacers because they rubbed the upper control arm. IMHO 265s are to small. I ran 265s with no lift.

Can confirm I have 265 75 R16 on my 2000 with dead suspension, rears are setting on bump stops. (Waiting on a green light for a SS 1.2) front is almost as dead but still has a little travel. No rubbing during normal driving or flat turns either direction even with steering wheel "locked" to each side. Very slight rubbing (like for a second, kinda just a touch and go) when making hard right turns onto a ramp or up a curb.

With a 3inch lift a 265 75 r16 will be too small. Go 285 75 r16. I plan on upgradeing to 285's with my SS 1.2 Kit installed.

correct me if im wrong but

265/75's are 32's
and 285's are 33's

I've got 265/75R16 (32") on my '98 with a 2-3" lift, and they look ok. But I also have been considering going to a 33" tire. Another option besides the 285 is a 255/85R16. The tall skinny look is not bad, IMO. Probably performs better too.

I had 265/75/16 with the factory suspension. When I upgraded my suspension to a 3in lift the 265's looked to small. I now have 285/75/16 and love them. I have aftermarket upper control arms and no rubbing. The factory control arms will not work with my setup. These tires will rub the factory UCA with out wheel spacers.

How much driving do you do? If you do a lot, I recommend going with the 265/75-16's. Will they look small? I personally don't think so if you go with the right wheel and tire combo.

Also answer a question from above i drive very little here. Avg speed limit is 35 and i have 20 miles or paved road and about 30 miles of dirt road here. Thanks for all the help

Several people are, including myself. 255/85R16's and 255/80R17's are the tire of choice for most overland vehicles. Check out my build for pics.

So I did it. I bought 285/75-16 and they rub on my UCA and now looking for spacers. Anyone know what size spacer I should get and what make. Thanks for the help all.
