TJM Snorkel for 5th Gen?

I would be interested in one if you didn't have to lose your antenna. Also depends on how hard you hit the trails/overlanding, if you get a good swell over your hood it would go straight into the intake.. lol

I’m gonna try to post up the shitty pics I have but it’s hard to do since my 4runner doesn’t get outside the garage if it’s over 68F.

I’ll try to explain in words:
Snorkel goes thru fender.
Attaches into intermediate tube and is secured with a large hoez clamp.
The lower part of the stock airbox goes into the intermediate tube and there is no visible difference when looking at the airbox assembly thru the engine compartment.
Like I said, I’m keeping my rig bone stock and this low profile snorkel really helps.

If anyone wants they can borrow my 4.5” hole saw as long as they return it and pay for shipping . I didn’t end up using it cause it didn’t want to cut holes in my fender so it’s mounted on with magnets and double sided tape.

Haven’t seen it written that we loose it. That would be a deal breaker for me. So we will see when mine comes in.

Fit to the contour of the fender is pretty amazing. Worst part is removing the fender liner and clips.

I wanted a clean look and install that would give me peace of mind, happy with this option.

Getting my TJM snorkel installed currently. It has been verified for us pre refresh guys you WILL loose your antenna. No a big deal for me (too late to go back) just use the iPod like I always have.

I'm anxiously awaiting your thoughts after some time with this. My question is how it will perform in heavy sustained rain since it does not appear to have rain slots like the Safari snorkel.

I agree, after seeing the pics I dont think TJM actually made this for the 5th gen, I think they are just marketing a Prado snorkel or something for the 5th gen

All the print material and labeling state Toyota 4Runner. The fitting instructions also show pictures of a 5th gen 4runner.

Install Piks On the TJM Airtec Snorkle

Hello everyone, we just wrapped up an install for [MENTION=49966]mikey's2010SR5[/MENTION]
and we'd like to share what the install process generally looks like. Unfortunately the antenna has to go, but only the AM Radio seems to be affected. I've included pictures of a fender liner tab that will need to be cut off in order to seat the intermediate tube inside the fender.
