I don't have many pics of it when I first got it but this is the closest I can get:

And here is how she currently sits:

I drove it in the stock configuration for a while and then finally got a bite from the mod bug... It wasn't much but I ended up getting a Magnaflow muffler and high flow cat and a S&B Cold Air Intake for it also. These seemed to help the power out quite a bit and also gave it a nice purr  haha after I got those put in I also decided to throw some new wheels on it as well and got some 15x8 steelies from discount tire. I ran it like that for quite a while and loved the way it looked but it still wasn't the best offroad because of the street tires on it but I still made do! :flamethrwoer2:

After that I saw some stuff about being able to put a 1st gen roll bar in the rear sooo i headed over to craigslist and found one for $40! Sweet! So i went and picked that up and took it down to my dad's shop and cut and welded it so i could squeeze it in there... and man was it a squeeze... we finally made it fit in there and it looked pretty sweet!

Finally last week I made my first MAJOR modification that I had been piecing together pretty much all summer long... I picked up a pair of LC coils from craigslist as well as some 1.5" Ball Joint spacers from 4crawler, matched those up with some skyjacker shocks all the way around and a few little parts in between to make it all work and then took it to the shop to put it all together! :bigok: Installing all of it took a little more work than expected but once i got the UCA's cut for the spacers and everything to line back up it came out awesome! it ended up a little higher in the rear than the front but it actually gave it the exact look i was hoping for!

Here are some pics of the install and if anyone has any questions on parts or wants some guidance of how to do this on your truck just shoot me a message or post on here and i can most likely help you out! :reddance:

So once i got it lifted i headed over to discount tire again to get some new shoes for it! I was somewhat mad that I would not be able to get the 33x12.5 tires that I wanted because they would not clear my UCA's without spacers or wheels with a different offset so when i went in i asked them what their suggestion was and the guy that was helping me actually drove a toyota pickup and said that he had a set of wheels laying around that would be perfect for me to run 33x12.5's that he would sell me for 100 bucks! :bravo: I jumped on that as soon as he said that and so we went back inside and ordered me a set of 33x12.5 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs :) I went and picked up the wheels from his house last weekend and then went on monday to get the new shoes wrapped around them and it came out AWESOME!!!!

how high of a lift do you have, and would i need to get new shocks if i bought 2in ball joint spacers for the front and 2in OME coils in the rear

I did the 1.5 inch bj spacers in the front from 4crawler so they gave me about 1.5 to 2 inches of lift there and my old shocks were just a little bit too short so i picked up a pair of new ones. For the rear the lc coils gave me about 3 or 3.5 inches of lift and i definitely needed new shocks there. I'm not sure about the OME coils though but I imagine that you would need new longer ones.

Your 4runner looks amazing for a 2nd gen!

Just need to put the rear bumper back on.

Thank you! haha its kinda tough being on a college budget and whatnot but I'm trying to make due...

As for the rear bumper, I actually nailed it on a rock when I was out a few months ago and had a pretty nasty dent in it so i was gonna take it off and pound it out but then when I was taking it off I managed to break a few of the bolts off and havent gotten around to trying to get it back on haha  I kinda just figured I'd leave it off and save up for a tube bumper to throw on the rear

im assuming you have a 3 to 4 inch lift then right. adn what are some good cheap shocks that will give me that extra length in the shock.

Looking badass man

I swear I've seen this on campus recently. I wondered if it was yours. You and Blake need to come wheel with us again.

Yep that would be me on campus! haha thanks! And yeah Blake has been a little leary of goin since what happened last time we were out and we haven't done a whole lot more trails but I think mine might be at least a little better off now than it was last time! Definitely hit me up whenever and we'll try and get out there!

Yea I don't blame him. For what it's worth the spot he got stuck on has gotten easier. Last time we went up we got two open/open trucks and mine up in like 10 mins total. Pretty much everything is closed right now but if we head out again ill for sure let you know. Hell if it snows we may go run something like deadman road just for fun. No real challenge but I do like snow.

For sure man! i'd love to see what mine can do in the snow and stuff! I was thinkin of hitting sevenmile creek or one of those easier ones once it starts snowing a little just to see how it goes!

we will have to see if its open. As of two weekends ago it was closed. Along with kelly flats. We ended up running bald mountain as it was the only thing we could find. I ran it in the snow last year and its pretty fun. much less rocky than usual haha

Ahhh that sucks! I was lookin forward to tryin to get a snow run in there! I'll pm you my number so if you wanna go sometime you can just shoot me a text or somethin whenever.

holy sweetness! nice! and same color as mine!! :) def using your rig as a template!!! lol i got LC coils as well, don't have the other components yet (shocks, BJ spacers etc), hopefully mine will turn out as nice as yours did. i like the idea of the 1st gen roll cage, might do this with mine so i can attach a hi-lift jack in the rear and give the interior some protection since i'll be carrying precious cargo (my kids). but the most burning question i have is, what did you do with your old wheels and tires TMAC?! LOL
