TMAC 110's Build Thread

holy sweetness! nice! and same color as mine!! :) def using your rig as a template!!! lol i got LC coils as well, don't have the other components yet (shocks, BJ spacers etc), hopefully mine will turn out as nice as yours did. i like the idea of the 1st gen roll cage, might do this with mine so i can attach a hi-lift jack in the rear and give the interior some protection since i'll be carrying precious cargo (my kids). but the most burning question i have is, what did you do with your old wheels and tires TMAC?! LOL

Haha thanks for the compliments! I left the tires with discount when I got my new ones and then sold the old rims on craigslist about a week later... Sorry! lol and with the roll bar, It doesn't really give it a whole lot more protection in the case of a rollover or anything like that because it is just bolted to the body and not the frame or anything but it does make for a nice place to mount something like a hi-lift and a spare tire and such.

BOOO.lol. do you have any pics on how you bolted it to the body? did you have to fab anything up? maybe i can actually weld one to the frame and make it a little more functional. it has that cool factor and utility too. :) keep up the good work! keep us updated with anything new!

Looks good man! Did you put on a Panhard drop bracket?

KCCO

I did do the panhard drop bracket from 4crawler. Thanks and Chive On! haha

I don't have any pics of how i bolted it up but basically I just cut the front legs down 2" and welded the original mounting brackets back on and then bolted it right through the floorboard and the wheel well with 1/2" bolts and then I used some butyl to seal it up and keep water and stuff out of there. If you do need some pics I can take some of the bolts in the wheel well and up underneath where the bolts come through the body.

oh cool, thanks! i have a good idea now how its done now. Thank you! hopefully my rig will look half as good as yours. :)

Haven't had many updates in a while!

Well I've been on winter break for the past month and have made a couple new modifications to the truck! :biggrin2: The first thing I did over break was finally converted from ADD to some Warn manual hubs. While doing this I also took the time while it was apart to reboot my CV axles. It was kind of difficult to change the boots on the cv's since I basically had to take apart the entire front suspension to pull em out but hopefully with the hubs they won't need to be done for a while! So far the hubs seem to be working flawlessly and have had a very slight increase in fuel mileage. Overall I'm very happy with em so far!

Another project that I've been working on over break has been a storage box for the rear. I'm almost finished with the main part of it, it just needs to be padded and carpeted, and then I plan on building a second piece to put over the back seats when they are folded down so it can be used as a sleeping platform. I designed and built the whole thing myself in about a week so it wasn't too terribly difficult. It has two drawers in the front and then a hinged compartment in the rear for a little more storage. It works pretty well for what I need it for and hopefully turns out right once it's all said and done. I also have some more pics of the design and finished product if anyone wants to see them!

Haha I haven't really had time to do anything worth showing yet in the past few weeks here! Just a couple little things here and there like painting the storage box black and I'm in the middle to converting all of my dash lights to red lead's. Hopefully in the next couple weeks when I get my tax returns I'll have something a little bit better to show off! I'm hoping for either the AOR Tube front bumper or 4Xi rear if everything works out haha :hungry:

its actually not anchored at all so that I could pull it out if needed but its heavy enough that it doesn't move around or anything. And it is a pretty tight fit between the back seat and the tailgate so the angle of the seats helps to hold it down pretty well too.

Well not a huge update, but an update none-the-less! :hatsoff: I got my Idler Arm Brace from Blazeland and threw it on today!

Hopefully there will be a bigger update here in the next couple weeks :hungry:
