FWIW - I like it. It's foolish, impractical, probably terrible offroad, but still it's unique and well executed for what it is supposed to be. It's a show truck for kids toys. The build quality appears from all I've seen of the build pics - is very good and some unique ideas incorporated. Every 10yr old kid who walks by it at wherever it's being displayed is going to love it!

I have a bright yellow FJ40 on 39" tires and kids love it. I've been asked more than once for a kid to sit in it and get a picture with parents who call it a jeep and really know nothing about offroading. Kids like it because it's big and yellow and looks different from everything else on the road. This is that times 10. And it hits the market it's going for very well IMO.

This forum is more about function over form. If you pay attention, most of the insulting comments are toward the ridiculous mods that hurt function. The OP's truck is all over that category.

As for the truck, meh, it needs more light bars. It can get dark in the far corners of some parking lots.

That said, I can still respect anyone who likes it. Like Jetboy above me

I feel so dumb... I could have just done with a 10inch lift and wouldn't have had to cut, trim, pound, and weld to fit my tires. Drop bracket FTW

This is the wrong crowd for stuff like this. I like lifted trucks and can appreciate them for what they are but others just Hate them and are very vocal about it. I saw it in person and I really like it . Not the graphics and all the stuff but a lifted 4Runner looks great to me. This is more the level it and talk smack group. Anything taller is just crazy and it must have KDSS to even consider being an off roader.

To the OP , See what I mean ! I was already singled out for just the suggestion. If you like lifted trucks keep it to yourself . Not one positive thing mentioned in the thread about the tonka just bashing. And then they will bash you to say they are not bashing you. Don't believe me , Just read what members write about the Tonka or any lifted truck from say Hawaii.The comments speak for themselves.

Also, You can not make a thread dedicated to lifted , really tall 4Runners. the flamers ruin and tear it down immediately "bracket kit junk" blah blah instead of just saying ,"well its not my thing " and moving on they will beat you down until you regret ever bringing it up.

What we should talk about is the body armor. Specifically the integrated fender flares are steel and structurally tie into the body armor to create a pretty darn good looking way of dealing with fender protection.

Just thought you should maybe, read what is wrote instead of what you want to read...it was posted before you. That quote is two positive things.

Me I think some of the custom metal work is interesting.

Someone had to do it, of course this makes that fugly oakley truck seem more practical :biggrin1:
