Today I was quoted $168 a tire for 265/65/17's - $820 out the door. Should I jump at this or continue to be patient for a better deal?

he's looking for the AT not HT, AT's are $169.. that is a wicked price considering I am about to pay 233 a tire including install for 265/75/16 in Canada.. and that is the wholesale price I get from work.

Check farm and home stores. Orscheln Farm and Home has buy 3 get one free on Cooper tires about 4 times a year. The nearest store to you is in Murray or Radcliff KY though. I bought Cooper AT3s, 265/75-16, load range C, for $700 out the door (mounted, balanced, and tax). Those are over $200 each.

You're absolutely correct. That was my fault.
I just picked up a "brand-new" set of these AT IIs but 285s from work for $200!! Came off a brand new lifted wrangler. Talk about getting a deal.
