Toyota 1-way remote to 2-way aftermarket?

I purchased toyota remote start for my 2011 T4R which works ok if you can see your vehicle but it sucks if you can't see it.

Can I get a complimentary system to work with it? or will I have to completely remove and get a new system?

i dont think you can get a complementary system. you will have to install a new one, i got Viper last week and it works very well. also i can open the car and get in without having to restart the engine. to be honest toyota is great at so many things and it is clear that the remote engine start is not one of theses things. Although my Viper is the simplest and cheapest model, but it if very efficient, I like it.

The toyota system is nowhere near comparison against some of the DEI brands like viper, python. There is no piggy-back systems out there that I am aware of. Having said that I am thinking of swapping my very basic 1-way avital remote start for a 2-way system. Should have done it that way to start with. Thats what I get for being in a hurry I guess.
