Toyota Chrome Emblem on Steering Wheel? Ideas?

I have a chrome emblem on the steering wheel in my Mercedes and it blinds me every day... hah. The uppermost tailgate emblem (if you break off the little tabs) might fit there.
You got a good point there. :lookout: If I remember correctly from driving a 4th gen long time ago, the chrome toyota emblem is made with "plastic like" material. Mmmmm. I am still searching on ebay... everything is on ebay right??? :boink:

I thought about painting the emblem that is on the steering wheel, like in the pic above. Never did get around to it though. Just an idea.
Painting it chrome color? Never seen that done before. I was thinking just 3M a Toyota plastic chrome emblem on the steering wheel, but it might look strange with the added height. Mmmmm... :fishing:

I once tried using Chrome like Duct tape on it...got it looking pretty good, but then it started peeling.........FAIL!

Airbag splits that thing in leather in half, only the bag ever his you, that emblem will be blown into the windsheild. Im not supporting the emblem going there, just saying it wont have any adverse safety effects.

And sadly the whole point about the airbag possibly going off and blasting that thing at you was the first thought I had when I read the thread title. You go into an accident and come out with this toyota emblem imprinted on your forehead.
Have you looked at doing a 4th gen steering wheel conversion? I don't even know if thats possible?
I'm not a big fan of messing around with the steering wheel components, i'm always afraid i'm gonna screw something up, and its kinda of an important component to my driving abilities.
