Toyota needs to fire their designers

This is ridiculous. I have to move my hand to see my fuel gauge. On more than one occasion I have run my truck bone dry because of my inability to see the fuel gauge with my hand in this orientation.

Someone needs to get a class action law suit together! Also, when I'm parked on uneven ground, my groceries don't stay in one place! Why should I have to get a bandaid fix net when they should hire proper engineers!

The funny part is that has actually been the case in the past...

In my 04 Tacoma, the clock could not be seen by the driver and you had to tilt your head so far over to look at it you could easily cause an accident.

Also, the emergency flasher button was similarly hidden. It took some serious searching to find it in a non emergency, not sure it would have even been possible if it was a real emergency!

Things are much better in the newer vehicles. I guess they really did fire the designers sometime between 04 and 14. :shrug:

Anybody know where the switch is that changes the dash light colors to what I want instead of what the engineers think I need?

Is this a joke? Is this how you drive your car with your hand spread around the steering wheel? Is it so hard to tilt you head a tiny bit to the left to see it?

Reminds me of a thread started on another car forum...the OP basically said an entire car company doesn't give a rodents rear about their customers because the stereo was a POS (and he was serious!). My response was:

I was scratching my head about this post wondering why the OP just wouldn't replace the stereo with an aftermarket Apple CarPlay interface from Pioneer or Kenwood.

But now I see the problem!

The OP bought a stereo with a protective package around it that he can sit in and move around by pressing pedals and moving a wheel back and forth...and it turns out the stereo he chose sucks!

I posted a very similar rant on a pioneer forum complaining that the stereo I bought was really crappy at getting me back and forth to work in a snowstorm.

Maybe we can help each other with a swap!
