TPMS help please

Hi guys, I know there are a million threads, and I just spent an hour trying to find the information I need.

I have an early 2014 Trail, I am going to put new tires on new wheels, and it doesn't seem to make any sense to pay for the sensors to be removed from my old wheels and put on my new wheels (am I wrong here?)

I can't seem to find information on what part numbers I need. I have found that any will work with 315 mhz, some say they can't be installed on aluminum wheels, Denso? OEM? Please help!

How much is the shop charging you to swap the sensors over with new "service packs" (rubber o-ring, washer, and nut basically)?

I put TRD pro wheels on mine. Had the shop take the OEM wheels and tires off, pull the valve core out to deflate, pop the bead of the tire just enough to get in there to remove sensor and just throw in a standard rubber valve stem.

Then swap the sensors with new service packs over to the TRD Pro wheels before mounting new tires. It was like $80 in labor. I bought the wheels and tires online and brought them to tire shop. Costco FTW

Thanks for the reply, but that's my dilemma, I don't think I want to pay $80 to remove the old TPMS when I can just spend a bit more and get new ones. I live where the salt the roads 8 months out of the year, lol, takes a toll on everything. I would hate even more to pay to have the old sensors removed and get destroyed in the process. The last time I had new tires put on at Costco (on a Tacoma) 2 of my sensors didn't survive.

TPMS sensors

I upgraded my TRD Pro rims with some SCS Ray 10s. Since my wife wanted the TRD Pro rims for her Runner, I had new sensors installed on the Ray 10s.

Part #: 4 of Toyota Genuine 42607-33021 Tire Valve Sub-Assembly for my 2016 Runner. I bought these via Amazon.

I had to buy the signal scanner and programmer for the Runner brain to accept the new sensors. Now I can swap out sets of tires and rims between the two Runners on my own without having to pay a tirechimp to do it for me.

The $80 included mounting and balancing the tires on the wheels. It was like $15 to swap the sensors over with brand new service packs.

You are going to spend somewhere near $200 to get all new sensors, for no reason at all. There is no reason "sensors didn't survive" when you have new tires put on. The person dismounting or mounting the sensor must have had the sensors in the wrong spot when doing so and broke it. If they do that, it's a guaranteed free sensors replacement.
