I just reinstalled my old wheels with no sensors, I still have the spare with the sensor in it. I adjusted the tire pressure up and my light is off. I hope I didnt jinx myself. Didnt bypass anything.....Anyone else do this

Is this w/o the TPMS and w/o the bypass? If you didn't bypass I'd say it's odd, if you did the bypass it's working correctly. I removed all of my TPMS and did the bypass.
If anyone is looking for a set of 5 I have them.

Thanks for the info but I no longer need it.
I went a different route. I found that the 1st gen TPMS ECU (early 4th Gen T4R) works with the 2nd gen, more common (cheaper), TPMS (from the later 4th Gen T4R.) I thought I posted that in a thread somewhere on here but I forgot I had asked this question.

Just want to add, I decided against doing the bypass switch and opted to just do a bypass using a scotchlok-type connector. I wanted to add an important point......after some frustration I came across a post by a member who shared that the wiring appears to be different on the 09's Pretty sure it's also different for the 08's. Anyways on my 2009 SR5 the wires are NOT the pink/black with white/black. It IS the pink/black with MAROON/black. I had to remove the scotchlok from the incorrect wire, retape it, and then scotchlok the other two together. I also want to add that I used a 18-22 ga connector and it seemed to work fine after I squeezed the scotchlok really well. I will attach some pictures; One pic of the connection and one to prove the light is disabled .hope this helps some ppl. Cheers

Have an '06 4runner and recently had the TPMS blinker start flashing....I had this be before and found a utube reset that had me turn key on and do something...but can't seem to find it...does anyone know how to do the reset with an '06 4 runner without the reset button???
And, yes all tires (including spare are checked and good) Makes me frustrated that the utube post with the reset has been removed!

Easy Fix
Bought a 2007 4Runner and the Tire Pressure light was always on. After researching to find out replacing each sensor would cost around $70 each decided to do this bypass which took 5 minutes and only cost $2 for a package of the ScotchLocks.
Figured it's just as easy to tell when my tires are low by looking at them, then spending money to fix the computer system that seem to be buggy on all cars.

I followed this method described by TXT4R in the link above and haven't had any issue since. Truly does take 5 minutes and I didn't disconnect my battery either. I also wrapped everything back up with electrical tape to keep it clean and make sure it doesn't come loose.
Of course now I have to go through the grueling task of checking my tire pressure by hand every once and while....

Just an FYI, did you check the air pressure in the spare tire before you disabled the TPMS?
If not it being low on air may have been your only problem since the spare has a sensor in it as well.
SPARE?! What spare? LOL
That was the first thing I checked and sadly it wasn't the issue.
