Never had a light until I swapped and put it on the new wheels. Air is at 37 no leaks and even out a rebuild kit with the orings. Checked all sensor with the tool and even reprogrammed it. But it's still on. Unplugged the battery to reset, still the same. Any idea what's going on? Does it take a while to relearn? My gs350 once it hit the right amount of pressure it turned off.

I swapped countless tpms before from different wheels to another. Can't figure out what it is.

I swapped mine into my wheels and the tpms sensors decided to go wonky a few months past. The light flashes for 10-15 seconds after turning on and then stays lit. Asked Toyota and they say this is an indication that one is bad. Not really interested in the hunt and peck to figure it out myself and live with the light. With my tires, I know if I'm low anyway! Kinda useless on oversized MT tires. I did learn the flashing means the system is trying to read the sensors and if it can't find one or more it will the. Stay lit. It looks every time you start the vehicle. If it just goes on right away and stays lit, that is when it is reading low pressure. These tpms aren't really that useful tbh. The light is annoying though. Almost worth taking it apart to put tape over it or remove the lightbulb!
I scanned the car with the tis techstream it read only one code c2144. If all sensor were there, it should have the ID for each tpms on their correct.

Yes, I believe that is the case. I need to scan mine again, but I believe if they are all sending/receiving, they will all show. From what I understand, the ones in our trucks are pretty sensitive and can be broken easily. I wouldn't be surprised at all if one or more are broken and since you swapped them to new wheels, Toyota isn't going to cover them. Pretty easy though to go without them. It is just the annoying light...

Correct. I just installed my summer wheels with new monitors. Initially, the tire tool scanned all the codes, and the codes were programed in to the truck, but when hooked to the TIS, the codes for the removed winter wheels were still showing. (I also had the light come on right after the swap). As soon as the fresh codes for the summer wheels were input into TIS, light went out.

I've seen numerous postings around the web indicating that an under inflated spare tire can activate the TPMS light.
There is no TPMS in the spare on ours.... so this has no effect on the light.

Not on a 4R. Look at [MENTION=48776]dekeman[/MENTION] 's screenshot. The 4R only reads 4 codes, period.

I'm curious. The scanner read 78 psi. What does a hand-held gauge read? Gotta wonder what psi would burst the tire.

78 PSI is the upper working limit of the TPMS sensor. Sounds like a bad sensor if his pressure gauge reads differently.
So you basically selected Registered ID1 Code and hit the erase button in the tech scream then add the code for the winter tire then his the record button? Is the order of the ID matter?

Have you considered just not running one, I haven't used tire pressure sensors for over a year.
