Traded 2011 4R for a GMC Sierra

I have been purchasing GM vehicles since 1967. however GM now after the bankruptcy is not a company to deal with .. good luck with it because if you have problems like drive train or engine GM will screw you .... many have had these issues on the other GM truck forums.
also be prepared for electrical issues of all types and wiring that will break inside the insulation because its so small in wire gauge .
just purchased a 2016 T4R.. quality does appear better on the assembly than my GM vehicles . better layout .

Wish I could have kept both
I really enjoyed the 4R, was a difficult decision to get rid of a vehicle with no problems and one that ran so well. However I could not justify owning both,
I drive 100mi daily to work and back and my other vehicle is a Honda Accord
Sport that gets good mpg. I can only afford one tow vehicle and the 4R was
not enough to tow my 5000 lb boat. Tried it and did not like the way it bounced me around. I enjoy these forums and will prob end up with another 4R someday when I get rid of the boat. This was my second 4R and loved them both.
Time will tell if the Sierra has any quality, i dont expect it to have the reliability
of a 4R or the resale value. Not many choices if you want a crew cab 6.5 foot bed truck, Toyota does not offer one. Drove ford, gm and dodge and liked the GMC the best. Truck has a really good warranty and dealer is close by.

I've looked into the Honda Accord Sport - I think it's a joke. You can't get a sunroof, no V6 sport option, no leather, hardly any options, just rims, badge, and an exhaust that gives you a whopping 5 HP more. WTF was Honda thinking?

Btw, how long to do keep your trucks? If you absolutely needed the crew max, is 1 ft of bed space worth replacing your transmission before 100K miles?

A little judgmental but as long as you feel better after saying that then that's all that matters I guess.

My inlaw has a 07 Sierra Denali which now has over 230k on it and its used as a work truck. There is a trailer hooked to it on pretty much a daily basis. Besides regular oil changes, brakes and fluids the only major repair if you can call it that was an oil pump about 30k ago. He loves it and I do drive it from time to time and the thing doesn't feel like it has the miles it does.

My dad has a Honda Accord sport and loves it. The whole reason he got it was because its a 6 speed. Plus he doesn't care about the options you listed. I guess it's personal preference. It's still pretty fun to drive even with a 4 popper. I topped out at 112mph in it.

I've had it one year (2015). But yeah, the GM forums are sometimes more of the same.
To the OP - If you do check out a GM forum, you'll likely be convinced that any day that ends without it spontaneously bursting into flames or worse is a good day (unless you have a '16, in which case all is sunshine and puppy dogs). But the 14's and 15's...
Fortunately my only complaint with it is a butchered seat belt recall "fix". I can't even blame the dealer, as the tech did the repair as instructed by GM. It's not a professional looking repair. Rumor is any new, unsold trucks under the recall got a better, more thorough repair than already owned trucks received, but I don't know that for fact.
