Trail Master Bracket Lift Opinions

I found a Trail Master 4" bracket lift shipped to my door for $615. Anybody have any reviews or opinions on this lift? Im torn between OME 2" that will cost almost $700 or a bracket lift. Thanks in advance.

OME all the way. Where are you getting the OME from and what is included. I'm a bargain shopper so let me know what is all included and I might be able to point you in the right way.

OME! The kit from Toytec has all you need including shocks. Does the bracket lift come with shocks?

Are you planning on going with tires bigger than 33"? If not, the OME kit is definitely the way to go.

Depending on how extreme you plan on wheeling the beast, you may consider extended brake lines from Trail Gear.

I think from Toytec Im looking at $693 shipped for the OME with shocks. The Trail Master does come with shocks. I just think $700 for springs/shocks/BJ spacers is crazy. I am putting 33's on the truck. I have all the -3 steel braided line and AN fittings I can get my hands on so Ill be making my own extended brake lines.

If that is too much talk to Jacque ask him if he can beat toyotec's price or have him make you a bundle package on just what you need, I'm just not a fan of bracket lifts. you can order just shocks or just springs and I think they have good pricing. Damn I sound like I am getting a kick back......:beer:

Height can be counterproductive, unless your goal is just to get as tall as possible. If you don't NEED the 4 inch bracket lift, don't do it. My 285/75s are about a 33.5 and they fit with just a ball joint spacer. They'd fit at stock height if I wanted to trim and tub a little.

Im not chasing a height goal, rather functionality. I like the idea of just a 2" lift and clearing 33's. I want to get this done under $500 without sacrificing too much quality. Runner is a DD and will see weekend beatings in the desert. Would I be just as happy shopping for some LC rear coils, front BJ spacer and good shocks? Is it even possible?

Why limit your budget? Does this have to be done now? Set your insurance money aside and save up another $500. Then you could have any lift you desire. Avoid the instant gratification and take your time.

FYI, I endorse the OME kit because I have it and like it. I have nothing bad to say about bracket lifts.

It doesnt have to be now, but sooner than I can save another $500. Annual trip in Jan I want to be ready for. I know the holidays will consume any extra cash I have. Ill get it figured out, I always do.

if you want budget lift. 2-3 inch.
front

OME front shocks $85 each
if not OME than pro comp as shocks for like $40 each

this alone gave me a decent lift when i had it. can adjust more or less by adjusting the torsion bars. wont need longer brake lines, i have flexed this setup to its limits and brake line was still good.


Rear
LC coils $unknown
OME rear shocks $85 each
or like before pro comp at $40 each

Im going to bite the bullet and order the OME lift. My question now is do I need 900 or 901 rear springs. The 901's say level with 330 lbs in the back, Id only have that much when wheeling. Any ideas? Are the 900's sufficient?

I would also like to know this since soon I will be ordering the OME kit and will be towing a 2,000lb boat (net weight). Wondering if the regular springs will be ok or should I go with the HD's. I really don't want to go HD's because I know the ride will be stiffer when not towing.

I called and talked to the sales rep. He said the ride would be "harsh" if I went with 901's and didnt carry any load. I dont tow with the runner so no need for the HD springs, I went with the MD. I also noticed that the 900's are sold as 1.5" springs not 2". I hope I dont regret their ride height after install. FWIW, I ordered from FatBobs. I got OME-900 rear springs, 1.5" BJ spacers, Pro-Comp ES3000 2" lift shocks and the diff drop shipped for $394. Cant beat that with a stick.

I also plan on running 33/12.50/15 Goodyear Duratracs. I already have aftermarket wheels. I wont buy them until I see how my 31's look with the lift though. Aussie rear locker and manual hubs will be ordered today.

I have a rough country 4 inch kit on mine it was 600.00 it came with shocks rear blocks front drop brackets and spindle brackets I cranked the torsion up a bit and added pro comp rear helper spring . it rides a little stiff but i like it.
33/12.50/15 no rock crawling where im at in fl but there is a lot of mud and sand and a little clay as you can see from picture.
