Hi, I've read through this and not sure I want to tackle this myself. Any suggestions on a place to have a brake controller installed?

Also, was going to pick up a pop-up camper (2,700 lbs) with electric brakes and drive it home about 150 miles without a brake controller, is this a terrible idea or just drive conservatively? I've seen a couple different messages about towing something with e-brakes but not brake controller.

I ordered mine through 4Wheel Parts--I am going to install myself but I know they do installation--pretty sure they are a national group.

Also, my owners manual states the unbraked tow max is 1655lbs.

If you buy the wire adapter kit it’s all plug and play. There are a couple videos online showing it too.
