Trailer Towing Question

I plan on picking up the UHaul (terrible, I know) trailer to rent to move in the next month or so, probably the 6' x 12' trailer. I was reading on the UHaul site and they said that the trailer comes with the 4way flat light connector for the trailer lights.
On the back of my 4R, it has the circular connector, which obviously won't allow the 4way to plug directly into it. I know there are some adapters out there, is that what I will need to get? When I got my truck, it came with some sort of wiring adapter that is supposedly for the trailer hitch, but I've never messed with it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction so I have the proper wiring connections before I get the trailer? Is there a specific adapter to pick up or are there a variety of adapters? The last thing I want to do is have the UHaul clowns tell me what I need to get after all the horror stories I've read about them!

Can you post a pic of what you have? I have what I think it the 4 pin adapter and I will post a pic in a sec, I'm on my phone and need to go get it out of the truck.

Simply go to any Wal-Mart and pick up the adapter for your needs. It is a very common part and it will work like a charm. Been using mine since the day I picked up my T4R back in April of 2007

I think all you need is a Flat Blade-7 to a Flat 4 adapter. Can be found from any auto store that sells trailer parts. That 12' trailer will most likely have that goofy hydraulic tongue brake. They work well unless you need to back up over a bump of some kind. The bump causes stress on the tongue which results in the trailer brakes dragging. They should instruct you on this when you pick up trailer.

Thanks for the responses, guys! I am gonna check it out tomorrow and snap a pic of it. I'm pretty sure it's either the 7blade (most likely seems to be the culprit) or the 5blade (if they make one). I'll go check Radio Shack or another location to see if I can find the adapter for the 4blade.

This is exactly what you need...Flat Blade-7 to a Flat 4 adapter. If you have a local Wal-Mart they will have it all very cheaply. The $9.99 one will be perfect... I just bought one today actually, I am moving my race car with a Uhaul car trailer tomorrow. It looks like this.

Also, you may want to grab a flat 4 extension cable as well. The 18 inch one should work if you need it, they are only $5. If you don't use it you can return it. Since the electrical plug is so far away from the hitch, you may or may not need an extension, just depends on the trailer.

Thanks for posting the adapter picture! I will go take a look at that piece at Wally World today. Sounds like the wire extension is a good idea to pick up for the price and safety just in case!
