Mine works!

I like the white walls out on that. Been thinking about doing it myself when I need tires. How do you like the new All terrains from bfg. How many miles on them so far? Are they stiff?

The toytec lift for the trdpro is being shipped along with the camburg UCA's (balljoint). Spoke to toytec, they said the stock UCA's are fine, but i want something stronger. I will be adding Duratrac 285's on the same day.

Problem I am running into, called two shops asking for quotes and they never got back to me. Does anyone know a quality 4x4 shop in NJ that could do the install? Thanks.

Also got C4 Fab TRDPro sliders coming...

Have you considered having the dealer do your install? Mine charged $340 to install the lift (no UCAs) which included the alignment and they also provided me with a loaner vehicle.

Just spoke to my Toyota dealer, he said he will check with the service center on Monday. I'd feel alot better if the Toyota dealer did the work being that the trucks warranty is under them. Will see what they say on Monday.

When I went to my dealership, they flat out told me they give their lift work to the Offroad shop and I ended up going there. No need to pay for markup. The Toyota warranty doesnt cover the after market parts anyway and if you have a reputable 4x4 shop, you are better of dealing with them directly.

2 cents

I forgot to post up after my lift install last month. Really digging this setup now!!
I also got a great deal on the install at a local off road shop ($270) and then another $104 for an alignment at another shop. As others have stated, I'm noticing less front end diving on hard braking, and it drives like a dream! I haven't been able to sell the stock Nittos, so will keep them and upgrade later to BFG KO 275.
If you have a TRD-P; GET THIS KIT!!
** apologies for the ipad pic and the fact my driver'side door is slightly ajar....

How does it ride when going fast over speed bumps? How does it affect the ride then?

Having my kit installed on Friday and picked up some 285/70/17 KM2's that are going on at the same time... Can't wait to get fishing in the mountains this summer.

Quick question. Has anybody that has experienced the shock clunk on the pro's experienced any change once the lift kit has been installed. Thanks.

I have had the lift since mid-January 2016 and fortunately just before Snowzilla hit on the East Coast. Temperatures were cold (below freezing) and the "clunk" was still there after the lift install.

We have had a few 60 + degree days and the clunk goes away completely. I'm beginning to think that it is something internal to the Bilstein shock with the valving being temperature sensitive.

In my opinion, if these shocks were tuned for desert running and they were designed to not overheat and loose performance, then maybe being cold affects it as well in the other direction.

I still have the original, stock UCA up front and all the other same components as the vehicle came new from the dealer.

I can't really attest to going over speed bumps? I don't recall going over any as of late since the lift install.

The ride is just as wonderful as it was prior. I have ZERO regrets with this lift.
And no TRD front end clunk, but I must say I did not experience the clunk prior to the install and I'm in a cold weather climate when I took delivery in December.

I have noticed that when going fast over large enough speed bumps the front does get a tiny bit of air. Certainly no where near bottoming out on the downward swing though.

The lift pushes or holds the suspension down farther than stock thus shortening its amount of downward travel.

By the same token upward travel is increased from the stock position since the suspension is already standing on-its-toes so to speak.

That's not to say that there is more travel available due to the lift, only that the kit changes where the suspension sits at rest within the same, original amount of total travel.

Stock probably keeps the suspension closer to the middle of it's total travel distance where-as the kit keeps the suspension at rest closer to the lower travel limit.

It's always a compromise...

Good to hear.

Getting it installed on 3/28 with Camburg Balljoint UCA's. Gonna cost like $750 to install it all with alignments. I was going to get tires with it, either Goodyear Mt/R, Duratracs, or Trail Grappler MT, 285/70/17 but he said they might rub. So thinking i should go with a 275/70/17. The mechanic was like, you cant use the trd wheels, told him I wanted to use the trd wheels,, and only get bigger tires, size ...285/70/17, he said they will rub.

Unrelated... I go over 6 steep speed bumps every day. The stock trd pro suspension handles them well, I try not to hit them at high speeds. I have the clunk, not bad, but heard it a few times. Wonder if it will disappear, not that i care.
