It took me a few days but I read this whole thread. The Toytec lift kit FJ4RPRO seems to be the most popular in this thread but I did see that Dobinson’s makes a front spring that raises the front an inch for those that don’t want spacers. Do any other companies make a front spring that currently works with the TRD PRO suspension?

To my understanding, Dobinson’s pulled their TRD PRO 1” spring lifts off the shelf as they were planning to sell 2” lifts.

No, not at this time. The Pro coils are being reworked and new part numbers will most likely be made. They're working on a different coil design for these and to hopefully offer more lift, since everyone is insisting on 2" over stock TRD Pro heights.

When will the new 2" lift TRD coils be available? Will they be red? Price? Thanks. Some rake to compensate for additional weight carrying capability in the back and maybe stiffer up front to allow for bumper/winch.

Probably 3-4 months before we have stock. We still have to finish the design, then test and all that.

Yes, they would be red. Pricing won't be known until it's all done.

I'm in no hurry to buy the Toytec TRD Pro Lift so I think I'm going to wait and see how this turns out.

So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the ToyTec Pro Lift with the SAW 1.5" rear springs. To further everyone's finding so far the SAW 1.5" springs end up with a similar 2" lift to the base springs in the kit. Overall, I am happy with the more aggressive look as this is the way IMO the Pro should come from the dock. Tires I am now running 275/70R17 BFG AT KO2s with 1.25" spidertrax spacers. Rubbing occurred on the stock front mud flaps (just removed them) and no where else, as the newer Pros come with the bumper and liner already modded. I will probably cut the mud flaps and place back on eventually. Love the spacers and the wider stance. Can't take a decent photo to show the difference but see below.

So, I have read through most of this thread... I am thinking about doing the Toytec 2" kit on my TRDP. I noticed on the website that Toytec recommends replacing the upper control arms for proper alignment? But not much mention of it here, any thoughts on that?

I had the aforementioned lift for about a year and ran just fine on stock UCAs. No need for aftermarket UCAs for this lift.

Wasn't needed for mine, they were able to get the front end aligned without having to replace the UCA. Some had had issues with the factory but you should be fine with them.

Did anyone get a vibration from a stop after installing the toytec 2 inch kit? From a stop I get a pretty obvious wobble/shimmy from the rear as it tries to get moving. Just checking to see if this is normal.

For all with the Toytec spacer lift, any affect in ride quality? I have a cement pro headed my way and will eventually put full suspension kit on it, but I need to move my 285s over.

If there's vibration, check your bolts. Something is loose.

question: any reason I should get the rear icon 56505 shocks to be matchy matchy or just run the stock rear shocks as I was planning?

I would stick with the wheelers T13 1.5" rear springs. I got the SAW 1.5" with the toytech kit for my cement and the rear is now a bit to high for what I wanted after putting on the warn hidden bumper and winch. I'd almost say a 1" or staying in the stock rear setup would be where I'd go if I could fix what I see now.

I'm about to do the same thing, replace the front with ICON 2.5 and keep the rear TRD Pro shocks with new lift coil springs. I believe it'll be fine bc Bilstein and Icon run digressive shocks, not saying you can't mixmatch digressive and progressive shocks but it'll be more of an apples to apples upgrade vs running King/Fox front coilovers with Bilstein rears. Theres also the price, upgrading rear shocks are relatively cheap, so you could wait out and try the stock rear shocks and if doesn't work out replace the rears.

I bought some 285s and need to lift my TRD Pro, but I'm thinking about just adding some spacers to the front and back instead of replacing the rear spring, like with the Toytec lift.

I have the same question. One thing I prefer about spacers is you can do 2" front, 1.5" rear to even it out a bit more as well.
