Well here goes nothing. First 4x4, first time to really get into modding.

Picked up my 2012 SR5 a couple of weeks ago and although I wanted to wait a couple weeks, ended up ordering mods within about two days. RIP my wallet. This is by far the most I've liked a vehicle before, and as you can see by my join date, I've been looking for one for a little while.

Mods to date (10-26-16):
Bilstein 5100 shocks/struts
OME 2" Rear Springs
Level 8 MK6 17x8 Matte Black
BFGoodrich KM2 Mud Terrains - 285/70-17

Future Mods List:
Plastidip Chrome
OME Front Springs and take the struts back down to 0.0" or 0.875"
Plenty more, but need to get unpoor again first.

The night I purchased GF #2:

The next day:

Removed the stock running boards (dinged up a bit, for sale if anyone is interested):

Leased a brand new car about 4 months prior (now totalled) that I didn't realize couldn't carry my other toys. Glad to see I can again.

Added Bilstein 5100 on all four corners (front at 2.5" setting right now), OME 2" springs in rear from my buddy's FJ.

Testing the mad flex in my favorite parking spot.

And just today got new shoes installed.

Looks like you are off to a good start. How do you like the change in ride?

If you mean as far as suspension and tire changes, I immediately thought it felt floaty from the start, but that was an 87000 mile suspension as well. The bilsteins tightened it up a hair, but the tires sealed the deal. It's a bit rough now, but I'd prefer it to be a bit tighter even then. It's my first truck, and I want it to feel like a truck.

I came from a long list of beater BMWs, to a Honda Fit, then most recently a 2016 Honda Accord Sport. I miss the responsiveness of all of those vehicles (even the Fit!) But I don't think I'll every be able to stray from a 4Runner after finally getting my hands on one.

welcome to the new addiction.

Doood. WTF.

Edit: I'll be back on the KF in a couple weeks. Did you guys take it back over from VB yet?
