Truck won't start in the cold

So the last two days she wouldn't start in the morning. It is starting to get cold but not colder than three days ago. I woke up yesterday morning and tried starting and I got one click when I turned the key then nothing. Thought it might be the battery cos it's an old ****ter so I bought a new optima yesterday and everything was good last night but it wasn't that cold. Woke up again this morning thinking I would be good to go and the exact same thing happened.

It could be the starter but it has worked every day no problem. It doesn't sound like it's struggling or anything. I did however get the oil changed Wednesday. Pretty sure they went with 10w30 which is what I normally go with but it was too cold to do my own change outside in the snow. Could my oil be too heavy in this weather?

Pull your starter solenoid and check the contacts inside. They're likely worn and not making a solid connection, and the cold weather probably shrinks them down just that tiny bit more to make a difference.
