You should probably add new cv axles or boot rebuilds to the list. Of they aren't currently leaking, they will be shortly after lifting a 12 year old suv. You're also gonna need extended end links if you plan to keep your sway bars. And extended rear brake lines probably wouldn't be a bad idea. New front bump stops as well (since the ones on there now are likely shot from it being lowered). Good luck. That's a lot of coin to dump into a 12 year old suv.

I'm basically doing the same thing to an 03 v8 sport, but I'm going the FJ spring and adjustable bilstein route.

Already replaced the sway bar bushings and links. Next will be cv boots, then ball joints and control arms, then install the new springs and such. I have to slowly price it together so my wife doesn't kill me for buying it all.

Thanks for the reply ! The Runner only has 84K on her, It was either buy a new vehicle or put a couple of grand into this inherited Toy. Bumper stops definitely need to be replaced. Need to take off boots and inspect - before committing to C/V replacement. This is my first Toy suspension rebuild and I spoke to several Toyota owners (Tacoma and Tundra) that had shops do their work and they said there was no need to replace the CVs - Said that any thing under 3" did not need the extensions. Got new brake lines - Just in case.

Springs were cut then spacers were added - What was my nephew thinking ??? My turn ! Gonna do it the right way !!

Build on hold...

Until I receive the tires and rims - I cannot proceed with the build. I will probably replace the water pump in the mean time - it is starting to "whir". Well good news - Water pump is fine - Tensioner bearing was making the noise. Whew !!!
