Tundra 17" split spoke help please....

I have a 97 SR5 2WD with 15" OEM steelies. I just picked up a set of Tundra wheels/tires off CL for $300! I've searched T4R and cant find these few answers so anyone who can help with info and/or threads would be great. I test fit them and they seem to lineup perfect and the lugs seem to have plenty of thread and tighten well, but better safe than sorry... So here goes.

1. Are they direct fit or do I need spacers?
2. Will the OEM studs/lug nuts work or not without stripping or vibrating loose?
3. If not, where can I get studs/lugs for a good price?

1. Yes, the same 6 lug pattern on that wheel will fit up perfectly.

2. If you can get a good amount of the lug nut on the stud, you'll be fine. My aftermarket wheels in the front only give my lug nuts about 2 full turns, why Toyota put different stud lengths on the front and the back, I don't know. Which cause me to run spacers (even though I would have had to with my Tundra brake upgrade).

3. Hopefully you won't need these. But there are a ton of different places. Search tool helps here.

Go up a size on the sidewall / height and they'll fill your wheel wells better. Are you still allowed to drive on the beach down there?

Will going up a size require speedo recalibration in order for the speedo to read accurately? If so, how does one do this for a 3rd Gen 4Runner?

^speedo will be off, but it's less than 3 mph if I remember correctly. there's calculators online that will tell you exactly. as far as calibration, I don't think there's an easy way to do it on a 3G, however I could be wrong.

Some people claim that it makes it more accurate.

I don't recall mine being off by much when I used our GPS as a reference.

Funny, I didn't even realize how bad those wheels were until I put the new ones on. Im the 2nd owner and I can't for the life of me figure out how or why this truck ended up w/ the steelies. It has every other option of the SR5. Oh well does not matter now. And as for the tires I will go a size up but I have a bit left on these so Im gonna wait a bit. Yes the speedo is off 3 mph every 30, so 30 = 33, 60 = 66 and so on. Im the only driver so I don't think I will bother w/ recalibration. Also I drive my parents sometimes and my dad needs the step to get in and out, so they have to stay for now.

I just shipped a few of these a couple of months ago. They're right at 28 or 29 lbs each.

Were these a straight up fit on your 3gen 4Runner or did you need spacers.
