Tundra/LC Lift Checklist - Before I Order Everything..

If the FJ80 rear shocks will bolt up, then I don't see there being an issue. Actually, it MIGHT be better because they are a longer length, and have a longer extended length as well. So it could provide more stretch than my Tundra 5100's will.
I was mainly going off of these two threads:

And they both show the user using the Tundra 5100 Bilsteins, front and rear, with the front Tundra coils and the FJ80 coils in the rear.
Since I don't want to deal with the hassle of changing my order #'s around, I will stick with these rear shocks for now. If I blow them out, then I will look at the FJ Cruiser alternative.
Depends on what kinda ride you want. With bilstein 33-187174 which fit fj cruiser , 03+ 4runner and 01-07 sequoia. On a 3rd gen 4runner, it is recommended to use toytec superflex coils. Which are tall coils. Taller then OME coils. And this reason is so you don't blow out the shock with small coils by over compressing the shock. Next you'll neen extended bump stops. Basically this brings the down travel back to normal, but you get a lot of up travel with bilstein 33-187174 vs the tundra. So it's something to thing about.
And in theory, I believe any first gen fj cruiser rear shock should bolt to our 4runner. So basically any rear fox, or icon for fj cruisers should bolt up.
But in my application, with my LC 8-wraps, which shock would be smarter for me to use?
Not exactly sure how much the 8 wraps give you lift. But I believe you are better of with the 5100 fj cruiser. I think but not 100% sure, that the 8 wraps give more lift then superflex. Don't forget, keep in mind about weight, and armor. I believe the LC coils aren't really good with weight. And I think you need the front LC coils to put it on the back of our 3rd gen.
8-wraps give about 4" of lift I believe..hoping that once they settle it will be less. They are the LC coils off of the FRONT of a FJ80, you are correct. But the shocks would still be the rear shocks, correct?

This whole thread is like a mash up of parts. Kind of like a Frankenstien suspension for the 4runner.
The shocks that will work are FJ CRUISER FIRST GEN RESR SHOCK. Which is fj cruiser 07-09. And part number is 33-187174 aka long travel shocks , that's what toytec calls them under the 3rd gen. So I'd get those with the 8wraps.
If you want to use FJ80 shocks, yes that is correct. FJ80 front shocks have pin/pin on the ends for attachment. Rears are pin/eye like the 4Runner.

What height lift does the first perch give you?
Also what is the deal with the rear bilstein .75 bushing replacement on brand new bilsteins? Why?? why do they have to be changed? is it bc we are putting tundra bilsteins on a 4runner and the mounts are different? if so, how exactly is the best way to change the bushings?

You mentioned that with these the bushings do not have to be changed, does that mean they do have to be changed if I put the Old man emu 906 springs on my 3rd gen?

Im just running the rear FJ80 shocks, factory Tokikos, ($42, from camelback toyota). They bolted right up, no mods.
Im running them with OME 891 springs. They are right at 3" taller. But I dont really have any seat time with them so I cant comment about how they ride yet. Im hoping for a little more truck like ride, slightly less mushy than stock. And able to handle a little more weight than the LC springs seem to. I went with LC shocks because the OMEs seem to be too stiff for many folks.

Planning on buying Bilstein 33-187174 for my 9 wraps, I currently have the Rancho shocks but the boot is torn and I dont know if the previous owner bought them used or how long its been on for.
Will these bolt on right to rear 4Runner? How will this ride? Still have my sway bars connected since im all highway driving but I take them off when I go off-roading. any opinions?

NO NO NO!
1st. Tundra front struts must be from the TRD model and have a certain color code on the coils to work. Those aftermarket crap coils will ride like junk and may net zero lift.. You want to go with used or new OEM Toyota Tundra coils with correct color combo.
2nd. You dont want Land Cruiser rear coils to lift your rear end. You need the FJ front coils to lift our rear. Also you dont want heavy duty after market coils since they might give you way to much lift.
