turn signal out of rythym

Made a right turn today,
signal clicked 5-6 times, then started going out of sync...
slowing down, speeding up (kind of like Steve Martin trying to clap in "The Jerk")
then eventually stuck on.

Tried it again a minute later - seemed to work again.
But looks like this is starting to go.

Any idea, Where I should start looking?

Loose connection with one of the signal bulbs maybe? I know when those go out the signal rate changes because of a difference in load.
