Ultimate Scion Headunit (stereo) thread

My 4th gen has an after market alpine head unit but id love to convert to a Scion/pioneer. Am I looking at complications with splicing or will the install be straightforward plug and play with all proper harnesses? Thanks

Your 4th gen May have the newer style connectors and not require the CH and AD adapters as long as your plugs are intact it’s basically plug and play. I don’t think you even need to trim anything.

Can anyone tell me what Scion unit I would need for my 3rd gen? My original blew up and so did the replacement, 3rd gen stock radios are hard to find so an older Scion would be perfect, im only looking for a radio and CD player, don't need anything with NAV or satellite...

Scion xB Pioneer Radio Receiver PT546-00120

Or the PT546-00130

Or T1819 or out of a 2012-2013.

Try and find one with the AD and CH adapter plugs.

my Build and Repair thread shows the instal and what adapters and trimming you will need to complete the job.

Edit. I just searched “Scion Radio” on eBay and found plenty ranging in price from 25 dollars to 110 dollars. Sadly none had the adapter plugs. But for 25 dollars it’s around 50 dollars for the AD and CH plugs to make it plug and play.

Does anyone have a full list of compatible head units that came off a Toyota?

I have a Scion T1818 right now but want a backup camera and would prefer to go with a "Toyota" branded one that looks more oem.

Im looking for pt546 52150 from a Yaris but those seem hard to come by. Anyone know of any models that used a similar head unit? thanks!

I put a NAV unit from a 2013 Corolla in mine. I started with the T1819.

The Corolla unit has built in Sat radio. All you need is a antenna for it.

Here are two PN’s for NAV touch screens with the option for a backup camera.

PT546-00140
PT546-00160

My Corolla NAV is a different number.

Hello, thank you for this informative thread. I managed to get a T10015/PT546-00140 from a junkyard Scion iQ and install it in my 2009 Corolla.

Since it was missing knobs, I just want to put this here for anyone who stumbles across this thread since so many T10015s have missing or damaged volume/tune knobs, that the Toyota P/N 90011-25254 knobs work for the T10015. They are the replacement knobs for the OEM 2013 Corolla Entune audio system which is basically the Scion unit without the Scion branding.
