Underpowered 3.0 95'...Very loud valves and injectors

I just bought my 95' 4x4 t4r on 07/1/07, since then I have pressure washed the seats and carpet, changed front axles, done a radiator, new speed-O-meter cable, shift down cable, trans filter and fluid, and numerous other small probs...We've been busy! At present I have two main probs:

First: Lots of valve chatter (not clatter, more like a tight ticking) and injector noise also. It has had new heads and gaskets put on at some time, at least they are newer looking. The t4r is vastly underpowered and very sluggish. The noise is the worst. Are there any good engine swaps that will line up and drop right in that are a stronger motor than my chatter box?

Second: The rear end sags a bit, I need to get it lifted up. The t4r has 31x10.50's on it. I have a chance to get some 33x12's way cheap, that are about 80-90%, I was thinking about getting them. What would be the most cost effective way to raise and level my t4r?

I bought this rig for $1400. It is very clean and straight, prolly never seen mud but has 190k on it. I think I'll be keeping this rig and setting it up nice.

You can drop in the 3.4Liter Toyota Engine which is used in the 3rd generation 4Runners. As for the sag get new stock height springs and everything will be level. The 33's probably wont fit under your truck, I beleive 32's are the biggest you can go without rubbing like crazy, even the 32's might rub a bit. Best bet is to stick with 31's. You'll be happy.

yeah...uhhh... I have already talked to three yota techs, prior to your post which I appreciate. No way will a 3.4 fit or line up with the trans correctly or work with the puter. I wish it would, both my tacomas have the 3.4 and I love them. Any other ideas on the guttless 3.0?

I did more research, looks like a great swap. I guess the techs I spoke with haven't seen this swap. I like the 3.4's, might be the way to go, and the kits look like they are pretty well thought out.
