Unner's Build, 2001 T4R 4x4

Be sure and keep us updated on your trip. I'm headed out there in May following the Overland West Expo in Flagstaff. Going to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Arches, and Moab then back home through SLC and Boise. Combination of tent/hotel. I'm dreading the highway miles. Tidying up a whole bunch of "stuff" now before we leave. Thinking about standing on a corner in Winslow Az while I'm in Flagstaff. It's an extra 3 or 4 hr drive round trip.

Huge thumbs up on the Factor 55. I love mine, but I'm also a slave to a front plate requirement in Washington so I needed to spring for the Cascadia 4x4 Flipster. I thought this was the best combination for the front.

Should be a good time Unner. If you have never been that far our West enjoy yourself. And take plenty of pics and post them.

It cost like $30, and 36 feet was just about the right length. Thanks, I'm sure we will! The temps look great, upper 60's, low 70's for the highs and the lows in the upper 40's low 50's. That's like 15* above average for the low!

Sounds like an awesome trip! I'll be sure to post lots of pics of mine and a "trip report" of sorts. I probably won't be logging on here while I'm out there. Got to enjoy and maximize the time I have out there.

Start tidying up as soon as you can, it all piles on and then you have to do everything last minute haha.

Eventually I'll probably get one, for now I need some sort of a sleeve to protect the very edge of the line by the hook where the abrasion guard doesn't cover. Gotta fab something up before I leave for that too...

If you go by Winslow go see the Meteor Crater out there. It's a huge hole in the ground, but it's kinda crazy that a meteor caused it. They have the meteor on display there too. The Eagles is good driving music, I'm sure they'll be played at least once during this trip!

Thanks! I'll take lots of pictures I'm sure. I've been out west before as a child with my parents when we lived in Texas. But never Utah or that area. We did Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. I'm also debating adding a few hours to the return trip home to go through the badlands area of South Dakota and see Mount Rushmore. Seems more interesting than Nebraska/Kansas.
 
There is some AMAZING camping in the black hills around Mt Rushmore. The badlands are interesting. Being from AZ i wasn't expecting how hot it was.

Those pictures are amazing! Can't wait to see the pics from Onion Creek. I got home last night about midnight. I've got about 2,000 pictures to go through myself...

I'll try and post a full trip report of everything we did and saw.

It was amazing. Completely worth the 5,000 miles I drove over 10 days. I'd do it again in a heartbeat and wish it wasn't over already.

Soon, hopefully in the next few days. Everything is written up, now I'm just processing through pictures. I'll be posting ALOT of pictures because I can't decide which are the best. It'll be worth the wait.

I wan't expecting to see you guys either! I was kinda stunned when I pulled into the parking lot. I was parked at the intersection on highway 128 when you guys rolled by and I recognized all the rigs. Complete coincidence that we were running trails in the same area at the same time! Wish I could have run a few trails with you guys. It was great seeing your build too, as well as fishwerks and TCMachs! I saw more built 4Runners in that parking lot than I've ever seen here in Alabama...

I grabbed a few pictures of our group too, I've been going through pictures almost all day. Hopefully I can post up my trip report in a few days. We saw so much and covered so much ground in those 10 days!

I just noticed the Guide to Moab book on my dash in the picture. Pretty sure that's gonna be in almost everyone of my pictures haha
