upper radiator hose failure?

Just picked up my first 4runner last weekend. Not new to toyotas, I've had a '98 Tacoma 2.7 and an '05 Tacoma 4.0. This is my first toyota with the 3.4 though.

Need a little help. Upper radiator hose will pinch after cooling down. It's an aftermarket hose (OEM toyota hose is already on its way) but wondering why I would be getting some sort of vacuum to cause this in the first place? I have bled the system and filled up the reservoir to full.

Any ideas? Just a result of a cheap upper hose? Anything else I should be looking out for?

You may want to change your rad cap as well. The vacuum should draw fluid from the reservoir bottle as it cools and spit it back in when hot, under pressure. The little "dribble" valve on your rad cap may be stuck closed and not sucking back into the rad when it cools down hence the vacuum effect on the system.

Also clean the reserve tank and the hoses running from it to the radiator. These are well known to get clogged over time. Perhaps you don't need a radiator cap.

Also get the 0.9 type (embossed on the cap) and not the 1.1 (these numbers refer to pressure)

Yea, I was planning on blowing that little hose out with the compressor. Thanks again guys, I'll report back if this all doesn't fix it.
