using a blue sea fuse box

I know that each circuit on the box can be set up with individual size amp.fuses. My question is, when coming off the circuit to a relay of some lights, do you still need to put a fuse between the circuit of the fuse box and the relay, or is the relay already protected with the fuse for that line on the box?

Asked the same question on there support line(Blue sea fuse box), really answered my ?

Thanks for the question. It is recommended by the ABYC American Boat and Yacht Counsel that every circuit be protected.

Not unless you plan to split it down the line again. You only need 1 fuse per item. My bluesea is mounted under my driver side dash and is only fused at the battery and then on the block itself for each individual circuit.

Now if you plan to run 1 line of power to let's say 2 12v ports in the rear, each one should have a seperate fuse where you split the line.

Which is he only thing I'm currently using this 30 dollar fuse block for....3 12v ports. Haha. I updated my 97 to the 2k center console and rewired everything so it would work with my factory harness all work but the defroster, some people have just tied the extra 2 12v into the stock one but it's only rated at 10 amps so I didn't want to split 10A amongst 3 ports so I ran each one to the blue sea. Fused at 10A each. Then added a port in the rear (97 didn't come with one back there but the 99 and up did) and I Fused that one at a 15A.
