v6 guys what miles per tank do you normally see?

I am taking a 2k mile trip in my 3rd gen and was trying to get a better idea on how to plan my cost.

When mine is running good without any CEL codes I usually get around 18 - 19mpg. (around 275-285mi per tank) Just make believe there's an egg under your gas pedal.

If you're stock, 250-300 miles per tank is pretty typical. Some get a bit more.

If you go on mapquest, pull up your directions and they will give you an option to enter your vehicle. It will estimate your gas based on highway vs. city and give you an estimated amount based on local gas stations.

I unfortunately only get 200 miles per tank. I have a 1.5 body lift, 265/75/16 tires and a roof rack.

I did do a search and all i got was mpg and i usually get 250 plus mostly in town but i am 2wd and like new condition so hoping for 300 or more.

I would say a solid number for mine is 260 miles. I've gotten more or less but there are many factors. I also fill up once it gets to the 1/4 tank mark so I'm sure I could push it.

Doing strictly city, with a lot of idling, and slow commuting with an 01 4wd that runs great I usually get about 230 miles on a tank before I fill up because I don't like to run it that low. Usually city I get between 15-17. All highway I usually get close to 300 miles on a tank, and had over 300 once or twice. That was with the truck loaded down pretty good, and I ran it lower than I usually do. Highway I get 19-21 or so depending on how I drive and what all I have in the car weight wise.

I got 19.86mpg average on a 7,770 mile trip last year.
But that was with approx 800# of crap in the cargo plus I am 4x4 with 3" lift and 255/75R17 tires.

I would hope that you would get better than that being 2WD and I assume stock.

Everyday 100% city I get about 13mpg.

Yep I usually hit 16 city ... I can get 18 on the highway - cruise set - no stops ...

I'm 4x4 and I get approximately 14 mpg city and about 17 highway and I get around 220-230 miles per tank. I've only got a roof rack. I've got no lift (yet) and no trail tires (yet) so whenever I get those im gonna be lookin at some pretty terrible mileage haha.

Last hwy trip took me 252 miles on 15 gals of premium fuel in the tank which equated to 16.8 mpg.

All while mindfully and conservatively rolling into the Supercharger with the occasional, out of bordem, burst of water methenol injection mist while in the passing lane for sh..ts and grins.

Not bad at all........

Hmm.. I honestly think i can get 320 ish with 50 psi tire pressure 70 mph and no a/c.

I am going from here in orlando to Chicago and back so we will see and I will report back and see how it adds up

I cab get 320+ on a tank of gas (typically refilling with 15 gallons) all highway miles at around 65-75mph. If I put my Yakima roof rack back on, it hurts my mileage substantially. I never realized how much it degraded MPGs until I did comparisons with it on and back off.

I agree. I've added lots of weight and bigger tires onto my 4runner but I'm trying to keep everything off of the roof for this reason, as well as keeping my center of gravity as low as possible. At highway speeds, the extra drag kills your gas mileage.

I'm getting 250-300. I don't go faster than 75 and with a loaded roof rack.
