I was getting around 17mpg before I did several maintenance items / mods to my truck over the past month or so which increased my computed mpg. After performing the maintenance/mods I reset my EFI computer. I did the following:
  • Ran Sea Foam in gas and engine oil for roughly 500 miles
  • Replaced engine oil with SuperTech (Wal-Mart) full synthetic 5W-30,
  • Installed FRAM High Mileage Oil Filter,
  • Replaced front/rear differential and transfer case fluids to 75W-90 Mobil 1 full synthetic,
  • Replaced OEM air filter with K&N High Performance air filter,
  • Removed HCF filter,
  • Deck Plate mod (installed deck plate on OEM air box),
  • Cleaned MAF sensor,
  • Cleaned throttle body
