Vanity mirror LED

Anyone know what LED would go in the lights for the vanity mirrors? I searched and either missed it or that info isnt there. Ive done all my interior lights but those and when I use them the light is just dirty compared to the rest of the interior.

We're here for ya, Bro.

I thought about this when I LED'd my interior, but I have precious little hair, and no longer wear makeup, so it didn't happen. Plus it just looks like a pita.

Maybe post a msg to Mrs. Antman?

Believe it or not- I didn't change a single factory lamp to LED for the interior. I like the old school warm glow of incandescant lighting. I guess I'm wierd. :biggrin2:
The LED's I added are all the same orange color as the dash and they add a soft ambient light to:

*door handles
*both cupholders
*center console storage cubby
*storage cubby under HVAC controls
*sunroof switches

PS: If you mention "LED" to Mrs. Antman she will roll her eyes and say "Where is THAT one going?"

Sorry OP! Back on topic!

You guys are killing me! I typically use it for my contacts or when Im lucky enough to have a lady in the passenger seat who needs to primp herself. Since I wasnt getting anywhere with your jokers I dug in there myself. Using something very thin, I used knife, wedge it in between the headliner and the plastic on the LEFT side on both drivers and passengers side. Not the clear lens but the plastic housing. There is a clip the holds the housing in place behind the headliner. It comes out fairly easily and more importantly goes back in without looking all jacked up. The bulb just pulls out. They are Toshiba 12v8W R96, I have no idea what that translates to in LED land but I emailed superbrightled.com to find out. Please forgive the blurry pics, my camera batteries are dying and I seem to be spending all my money on mods instead of AA's. I'll update with the LED bulb so if anybody else wants to do this they dont have to suffer the humility of asking about it. THe first 2 pics are drivers side, the third is passenger.

I know you all have been on the edge of your seats for this so wait no longer...the LED for the vanity mirrors is WLED-WHP5 (194/168) wedge base. Put them in and dammed if I dont say so myself but I have got to be the prettiest dude on this forum under the new lighting.:trophy:

It was actually super simple. The sound of the headliner pulling away is kinda scary but it didnt leave any negative effects that I can see. Dont be afraid of doing it, it may make even you look better.:hiding:

It was because you did not reduce the size of the photo before uploading.

While I can now change my vanity mirror bulbs to LED's, MOD to have PARTY MODE always on, paint shiny things black and swap an antennae for a stubby. I can still not perform the most simplest of computer tasks.
