Well, it's taking a while but I'm slowly working on lifting and doing a few things to my '12 Runner.

Future Mods: 3" Toytec Boss lift-done
33" tires (Duratrac's)-done
XD 798 Addict machined 17x9-done
Satoshi grille-done
Black out majority of chrome
LED's
Weather Tech mats-done
Front light bar or PIAA's in lower grill section

I have changed out the fog light covers from chrome to black. I like it a lot. Reminds of a Star Wars Stormtrooper look.

It's amazing what you can find out if you just read your owners manual. After 2 years of owning this vehicle I just realized I could connect my iphone's ipod feature through Bluetooth. Before I was just using it as my phone and plugging it in through the AUX connection for music. Duh! LOL!

OK, slight update. Decided to go with the Toytec BOSS Suspension kit as it was highly recommended to me. Sending back the 5100's in exchange. Dan at Wheelers Off Road has been great with everything.

I also just ordered the Satoshi grille with the Land Cruiser style Toyota lettering/emblem.

A few things arrived at my house today...

Black wheels are really popular (but too dark for my white runner) and I'm thinking the gun-metal MK6's don't provide enough contrast.

I'm going with these: XD 798 (machined) Addicts. I think I'm going with the Good Year Duratracs as they're an aggressive AT tire. Looks like they rate extremely well. I've read tons of positive reviews on them. I'll be doing 98% road driving anyway.

Thank you. Lift looks like it should arrive any day. Just waiting. I'm excited to finally get this done. I have a few other things that'll go on the Runner after the lift. I also bought a few cans of plati-dip so I'll be blacking out badges soon too.

UPDATE: Looks like the lift is scheduled to go in on 10/7. I'm checking on the wheels and tires too. Looks like everything will be in on time.

Wow! I can FINALLY post some actual mod pics.

Lift and Satoshi grille were installed by 4the Truck here in Vegas. I just got this done today. I got home late so all I had time to take were these pics. I'll post better one's with more detail this weekend.

The 1st pic is outside with the lift and grille installed before the wheels and tires.

The 2nd pic (in the garage) is with everything. Unfortunately those black XD 798's are NOT the one's I ordered. The tire place was cool enough to let me ride on them until the correct one's (XD-798 MACHINED) come in a few days. Everyone has black wheels and I wanted some contrast being that my ride is Pearl White.

How much was the install from 4thetruck? And what makes this lift better than the bilstein way? How's the ride? Sorry for all the questions lol. Just got my 4runner a few weeks ago and want to learn it all before going forward. Did you get the lift from 4thetruck too?

This install was $475.00. I bought this because it was recommended from a few people. It has everything you need to insure a proper ride, etc. The ride is great! I love it. I'd say it may be just a bit more stiff than what I had and it also prevents any front dip when stopping. The average person who's been in my ride before won't notice a change at all except for the height. I bought the Toytec BOSS Suspenson kit from Wheelers Off Road.

Did you go 3 inches on your lift without UCAs? I'm installing my Boss lift tomorrow.
