Hmm, well I remember the cost of an igniter for my '84 1st Gen was 200-300 dollars . If you need one and it is only $40 that would be great! Although maybe the other things you are doing will negate the need to buy one. Good luck!

Your "patient encounter" sounds like a scene from a WWF match. Hope you don't have any residual effects from the head trauma. More meds and some backup next time!

Sometimes it turns into a wrestling match...I wonder if it's the igniter or the coil pack... Hmm. Both arent bad in price.

Very good prices for those items..but I would try cleaning all the contacts/connections first before buying new parts. And...don't forget the fuel filter and your isopropyl/water-contaminated gasoline .

Ill be dropping the tank and cleaning connections tonight or tomorrow morning...whenever it's cool enough. Ill post an update whenever i get to it for sure!

I got impatient. 1st pic is tcase sample which was good to go.

Second pic is what came from the transmission.

Third pic is what came from the front diff.

HEET in the tank. Plug boot/wire for #6 was loose and barely hanging on. (Solved the arcing) Tranny and Front diff fluids fresh. She is on the road and running good!!

On a side note I've got Pro-Comp rear coils, Import Direct lifetime warranty CV axles, and entire front steering suspension on its way in the mail! Only things I hope to tighten up before next spring are a fuel filter, new motor for my ramsey winch, 2.5" front BJ spacers and 2" rear coil spacers, 4 new shocks to accommodate the small lift, relocating gas tank to the rear, Aussie rear locker, head and valve cover gaskets (including replacing camshaft plugs, pcv grommet, knock sensor + harness), and last but not least a new steering stabilizer. Small todo list i know. Hahaha.
