Vsa ???

Hi coming into the first winter with my 07 4runner and does the VSA turn off in 1st and reverse? Just woundering if your stuck in the snow and need to spin the tires if that works to be in 1st. Thank you for any info.

Toyota calls it "VSC", same as VSA. '03-'07 (4wd) you must lock the center-diff to disable the VSC. Beginning with the '08 Toyota offered the switch you're looking for...



A "way better than nothing" solution can be had. It's a work-around and not perfect but by installing a switch that tricks the computer into thinking the center-diff is locked you can get the VSC off (without having to lock the center-diff). Click the VSC off mod link in my sig for more info.
