Throwing my two cents into the Pot
Just got back from hitting the trails. I did two runs, one with using just the LSD without disconnecting the A-trac. And then another with the Plug that everyone is talking about disconnected. Oh, and mine is 2wd sr5 just to clear things up.
I like the LSD in that it allows me to gas the rear wheels and they will spin out and I can take turns. The A-trac (nanny) does not usually come on except in situations of hard braking which is nice cause you still have ABS to assist you. Not nearly as bad as cruising without the LSD engaged.
But, after disconnecting the plug and getting the xmas lights that Hi-vel showed us, I drove it back out of the trail. This reminded me more of my '90 Ford Ranger (I was young

). Nothing controlling you but your hands and a heavy right foot. It was quite fun, sliding around turns!! But I have to note that I do not recommend this on a trail that you are not familiar with, at any unsafe speeds or with mixed use of people (ie: Mountain bikers, Moto X, walkers and the really slow people in Jeeps!) Cause when you need to brake, you gonna slide for about 50 feet further than you want to. So It has its perks, but safer to just the LSD IMO.
sidenote: after plugging the A-trac back in, I needed to turn off and then back on my truck to get the lights to clear. Is this consistent with what others have experienced?
