WARNING about N-FAB

Okay, so I ordered the N-FAB wheel to wheel nerf steps. Nothing on the site or when I ordered indicated that there would be an extended wait time for shippment, so I assumed they actually had stock. After 2 weeks of hearing NOTHING I called. I first dealt with a production manager named Zack who informed me that the steps would return from coating and be shipped the next day (this was week 2). Again, I heard nothing. I called again. Once again, Zack informed me that they would be returning from coating on Tuesday and shipped the following day (week 3). Again I waited, and heard NOTHING. Week 4, I called to cancel my order. I was transfered to someone I assume is a supervisor, Brandon. He told me the EXACT same thing as Zack. The steps would be returning from coating and out for shippment by Friday. Friday came, and nothing. Now, week 5, I call to cancel for sure. I speak with Josh who is in packaging/shipping. He tells me that they are in his possession and will be shipped today. If they are not shipped I will cancel.

Now, I understand that sometime thinigs need to be produced/coated, but there should be somehting indicating this. The customer service rep at N-FAB implied that even if none were in stock, the normal time frame to recieve the steps is 15 days. I have been very dissapointed with my experience and wanted to share. Do with it as you will!

I would have been okay with waiting if ANYONE along the way would have indicated it might even take that long. It was the fact that week after week I wasold they would be shipped in a day or two.

Today is the deadline at which point I cancel the order and call SHROCK!

dRGNpHNX - You checked to see if they've charged your CC?

If they tell you it's shipped, get a trkg #.

CC has been charged. I have a tracking number that was provided thus afternoon. I'm calling FEDEX tonight to see if the package is in the system.

Trust me...its worth the wait!! I get compliments all the time...Sorry to hear its taking so long...I ordered mine thru a local shop and they were able to get it in a week.

I ordered a set from nfab last week and got an automated email receipt, no other contact, no cc charge. I got antsy and looked around and discovered they sell through dealers as well. I went to 4wheelonline and bought a set in stock for $30 less than nfab's site and free shipping via fedex (nfab was going to charge me $87 for shipping. I canceled my nfab order, got a call from my wife today my bars were fedexed this morning, three days after ordering them. I'll check them out when I get home from work tomorrow.

I got NFAB rock rails from a FL dealer last year, and they were quicker and cheaper than NFAB. I was looking at a 2 month lead time and paying $100 in just shipping alone. Boooo....
If anything, just call your credit card company tomorrow and reverse the charge because you haven't received the nerf bars...

The same day I got my order from 4wheelonline, nfab ignored my emails and charged my card and shipped a set of steps to me. I immediately called and asked why they did this. They said they never got and communication from me, which I believe is nonsense. I asked them to cancel my order, refund my card, and turn the package around. They said they refunded my card, but it hasn't shown up in my account yet. I'm kind of pissed. An extra $460 missing from my bank account isn't conducive to paying bills on time.

The step rails, however, are outstanding! Built great, installed with zero problems, look great. My wife likes them too but thinks the front step is a little too forward.

So nfab makes nice stuff but I will never do business directly through them in the future if I can help it.

I agree, unfortunately. My experience was bad enough I may just never buy a product again though. How can they be SO HORRIBLE at customer service and still turn a profit?

Side note, the directions are printed incorrectly. I nearly blew a gasket when installing. All is well though I have them on and they do look sweet. That being said, if I wouldn't have to pay for shipping and most likely a restocking fee, I would return them on principle.

Just as a side note, you should not use a debit card for transactions these days. With the direct connection to your account, you put your real money at risk. By using a credit card and paying it off every month, you accomplish the same thing, but you get an added layer of separation to protect your real money from a simple dispute process. HTH. It only takes one time for you to get burned before you realize how vulnerable debit cards really are.
