Warning Beeps on 2004 4wd 4runner

Hey everyone, first time poster on the forum and wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on this...

When I got in my car this morning, cranked it, and put it in gear a 3 beep warning signal went off. The sound is coming from the front left part of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. This is the first time I've heard the signal and it has kept going off throughout the day every time I start the truck and put it in gear. I don't have any aftermarket parts installed that would make a beep like this. Also, the car feels "strange" when I'm driving and steering (sorry I know that's vague). The steering feels tight and transmission doesn't feel as smooth as it usually does. Does anybody have any idea what this beep means and if it's related to the weirdness I'm feeling while operating the vehicle?

Also, a couple of additional reference points that might be related:
1) Had my differential fluids changed out last week including all the 4wd fluids
2) I was driving through a field last weekend and a 6 month old lab puppy got excited and jumped up front from the back seat and knocked the car into reverse. Came to a quick stop and the car seemed to drive fine afterwards but that can't be good for the transmission.
3) No warning lights are going off on the dash

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks

sounds like ur describing steering bind while on pavement, is it a v6 or v8? for v6 try to cycle the 4wd, v8- go back & forth between 4hi & 4lo , if v8, im thinking the pup may have hit the 4wd lo switch , along with the shifter.

I have the V8 4x4 and when I am shifting between 4H and 4L and the shifter is moved out of N I get those noises.

A few months back I was changing from 4L to 4H and before the process was completed I put the car in drive by accident. It made a lot of grinding noises and then later that day I ended up burning up a few clutch packs. I had to replace the transmission. Very weird but I thought I would just throw it out there.

Do you have the center locking dif??
