Warning lights ablaze!!!!

Well this is encouraging, thanks I'll give it a go then. I assumed since they wanted so much it was because they were going to replace that control panel or something.

Do you happen to have those bulb numbers handy? Are they something I can get at a parts store or is it a Toyota only type bulb?

I don't recall the specific bulb numbers. You can probably look in the manual or have the service guy pull up the pic with bulbs at the dealership.

I think each bulb is like $4. Just make sure they give you the right kind for there are a few different ones.

Below is a link you can use to help with the basics. There are others that are more detailed if you want to search further.

Dash lights - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum

I actually just went out and looked at the dash and found there was one screw holding a tab below the controls. I removed the screw, and popped the controls out in about 30 seconds lol. Its just simple ass little quarter turn light bulbs that probably take longer to get out of the package than they do to install! I popped the burnt bulb out so I have one to compare. The control assembly popped right back into place, put the one screw back in, wow, freakin easy.

I CANNOT believe the price they were going to charge for that. I mean, really. I may drive up and point out to the svc writer just what BS that was.

Update: 150 miles later my dash lit up again. Since I work across the street from the dealership I took it over. The service manager ran the codes for me for free in 5 minutes. $22 later I walked out with a new gas cap. Ill post back if the lights come back on again.

That's funny, I just had the same experience. I have wanted to find a way to get rid of the traction control for 3 years, and all you have to do is leave the gas cap loose... to easy!
