Not sure if this is sensationalism, but it seems like a consensus among the Youtubers who keeps their phones.

Interesting. My heavily used S9 is almost 3 years old and still going strong, and older S7 is still fine also. The S7 battery is pretty weak at this point but no swelling. They've been great phones and aren't funding China's tbd invasion of Taiwan like iPhones are. Seems like most of the people he was discussing it with were phone collectors who rarely or never used them, so hopefully most normal users will be fine. Any lithium battery not in active use should be stored at partial charge, usually ~40%, and ideally in cold conditions. I keep my backstock of Metabo 18v batteries for work partially discharged and in the deep freezer. Never a good idea to have more unused lithium batteries kicking around than necessary.

Yeah but why only Samsung phones that got bad?? They stored all brands under same condition. Same with the other Youtubers. Only Samsung. Weird.
