Washer Fluid Reservoir and Demello Bumper

Hey Fellow 4Runner Enthusiasts, has anyone found a good solution to the exposed washer bottle with the Demello bumper? I know I can just paint it but I'd like to see what others did and see if theres a different route to take that I'd like more. I don't really want to paint it but that might be the easiest way.

No Clue. The guys at Addicted Off road mentioned it as a solution to the exposed res after your New Front Bumper install.

I know it might be sacrilegious but the bottle out of a Land Rover Disco 2 would work. I had one that I did the bottle relocate to and it would work perfectly.

Should be easy to locate one in a junk yard for cheap. I would say it took me about an hour to get it done. The washer bottle has the two motors that the 4runner will need. Just splice in some wire extensions and poly tubing and you can put it where ever you want.

Your only options are to paint it, build an ugly cover for it, replace it with a smaller bottle or bag, and/or relocate it.

That's the problem when you go for those "thin" bumpers, they don't offer as much protection for too much on the wings. Not that I hate the Demello bumper, I think it looks nice, but it's a bit too thin/slim looking for it's own good sometimes.

I was torn between Demello and Shrockworks but the lead time for Shrockworks put me off. I know it's a great product but I'm very impatient [emoji28] I plan to add those small wing covers that Shrockworks has on my own down the road and gusset the sh** out of em. However until then I want a temp fix that isn't expensive for the current washer bottle

If you have plans to modify the bumper's "wings" later, I would just PlastiDip it. When I first installed my CBI front bumper, I couldn't stand the thought of the reservoir being exposed like it was. I bent some of the fender liner around the bottom of the reservoir, coated it with black PlastiDip, and I haven't thought about it since. I might eventually reposition a reservoir somewhere in the engine bay, but it's about number 999 on my priority list.

SEM Trim Black spray paint. Mine's been hanging out there for over 2 years now with no issue. Once it's black it blends in and nobody but you will be the wiser.

I just hit my OEM fender liner with a heat gun and tucked it up behind the bumper. Used some heavy duty zip ties and it covers everything. I can post pics if you want.

I know no one else will know it's there if I paint it but I will and that's the problem lol. Might go Rob's route and relocate a smaller bottle into the engine bay. It's been what I've wanted to do just trying to figure out how to do it.

I just don't care about it. I wheel trails as hard as you can in a 4th gen and have never hit it on anything yet. The first time it actually hits something, I will think about doing something with it.
