Wassup with New Windshield!?

I just got my windshield replaced as well on my 03 T4R. Got quotes from dealer $550-1050 so went with Safelite Auto Glass, they make their own glass. Everything looks OE except no Toyota stamp. Has the Shading and tint. $180 installed and they came to my work to do it. What did you pay on your new Toyota glass if you don't mind?

It was all covered under insurance, but the dealer had told me retail about $320 I think.

It had a sticker on it that said" MADE IN JAPAN. Not to be removed except by vehicle owner."

I have that exact sticker on my replacement windshield (top passenger side) from Toyota when mine was replaced about 6 months ago. I haven't noticed that much of a difference, but then again, it hasn't been raining much. btw, stealer quoted me almost $600 for a new one to be installed. I ended up paying about $145 for labor and trim pieces, they covered the glass. Persistence pays off

Well I threw some repellant on it this weekend & I'm done. If I had more time I'd try to get to the root of the miscommunication within Toyota, but . . .

I got my windshield replaced with Toyota glass too and near the toyota stamp, Lamipane is stamped below it. I think the original glass is Temperlite.

On my 06 the original oem front glass is stamped Lamipane, all the others windows are stamped Temperlite. I checked a few others T4Rs on the sales lot last week while there and it was the same on the new 07 models.
