Waterproof firewood storage for roof rack

I am looking for a waterproof bag that i can store several bundles of firewood in.
I would prefer a soft container like a large duffle bag of sorts.
I want it waterproof so that I can store it at the front of my roof rack, right behind the fairing.

Any ideas?

Nothing comes to mind offhand. I would think that putting firewood into such a duffel would shorten the life of the waterproof ability significantly. If I were wanting to do what you want, I would get one of those durable canvass firewood bags and then put that into a waterproof bag. A bit redundant but think that would last the longest. And if you want to have two bundles, I'd break it up into two bags. Easier to manage. But that's more of a personal preference thing.

Storing wood will probably beat up the bag. I wouldn't go too crazy on the price. Linking something I found after a quick search. Also found one that wheels around like luggage.

why do you want to bag it? if you have dry firewood to start, rain won't hurt it at all; only the surface gets wet. as long as you have some kindling to start the fire, the firewood will burn well, even coated with water. i can't imagine having the firewood on the roof for a long enough time where it would need to be covered.

Agree with this. Get a few small bundles of fat wood and you're good to go.

My $.02, get a cheap canvas duffle bag army surplus say, use the liquid for water proofing canvas, probably less than $50 total, you get couple or three seasons out it money well spent.
