Well it's been awhile, but finally acquired the wheels...

So oddly enough I got my hands on a full set of Tundra split spokes, the darker ones off of a Sport at that. Awhile back I'd thought I was going to trade my 3 spokes for some other Tundra wheels but that never worked out. Apparently my grandfather (has a 2004 Tundra Limited/TRD with the step side bed and spaceship tail lights lol) needed to replace his tires and found a set of 4 BBS 17's from an FJ Cruiser.... for 100 bucks. Anyway, he was gonna sell his 10 spokes for a ridiculously low price, aand needless to say I now have them.:boink:

The tires on them are absolutely done, but I've been getting close to needing replacements on my truck anyway. So hopefully in the near future I'm going to give Tread Wrights a try. I plan just to run 265/70-17's, and at about $125/each for M/Ts, that's hard to turn down.

They need to be cleaned up and one is missing a center cap, but they're mostly unscathed besides that.

These are me faves. Just got tires on mine. Looking around for a fifth as a spare, since my current spare won't fit over my Tundra brake upgrade.

I just found a guy on CL asking $450 for a set of four. I asked him if he'd sell me one and he said no, but he'd sell me all four for $350...

It is surprising how difficult these wheels are to find, especially when you consider how many hundreds of thousands of Tundras and Sequoias they sold with them. I gave up on looking for the hypersilver (darker) ones and ended up with regular ones that I painted graphite gray.

Yeah I lucked up with this, several weeks ago I was going to trade my factory 3-spokes to my younger brother, for a set of the regular Tundras. His have 33's mounted, and from what I read and the input from some of the guys here on running 33's without any lift, I just stuck with my factory wheels. Now I'm unsure if I'd rather run 265/70 or 285/70. Maybe 285s with spacers, I've got a slightly effed up passenger fender that needs replaced, and that little trim piece under the headlight. Good excuse to eventually get 'glass fenders.... :decision:

Nice job! I didn't need all four...just a spare. There are a few more out there that I've got my eye on.

There's another guy selling his set for $550 and they've been on there for a while. I bet he'd drop his price...

That's why I am running 275/70R17s on my split-spokes; that size splits the difference right down the middle.
