What am I looking at here? Radio installation

Picked up a Kenwood head unit and pulled the center dash and old radio out this evening. Expected to find a factory wiring harness but it looks like someone has already been in here. None of the adapters from the kit I bought fit the adapter that's already in there. Below are the picture of what was originally in the car.

That looks like the connection to the actual radio itself. Where did you order the radio from? They make an adapter specific for our vehicles.

I picked up the kit from best buy. The stereo connecter kit as well as a stereo install(basically plastic mounts for radio). Both by scosche. I'll post pictures in a minute

I can tell from the pictures that you didn't remove the factory amp. Remove the amp, and then everything will work. Remove this:

Thanks again! Kenwood head unit in and it sounds great! Surprised how good the factor speakers sound

For what it's worth, I left the factory amp in place and just unplugged the harness from the back of it then plug & play. That way if I ever felt like putting factory stereo back everything is there.

My favorite most commonly asked 3G-4Runner-specific nooby dumb questions:

Where's my jack handle/they stole my jack jandle? (under right rear seat)
Took front fascia off and now clock doesn't work (dummy plug syndrome)
Audio harness plug won't fit (pull stock amp)
What is supposed to go in cargo area storage compartment ('99+)? (warning triangle, in countries that require them.)

I've answered these many times. I'm sure I forgot a few others...
