RCI Lower Link Skid Install
Hi All, sorry for the necro-post but as a new member I can't start threads yet so I picked the one the came closest to my question.
I bought the RCI lower link skid plates for my '19 ORP and the installation instructions recommend using jacks to lift the vehicle by the axle and using chocks to keep the tires from moving.
I could do that but I have a lift that will give me the clearance to work but it's the the type of lift where the vehicle weight rests on the tires. Would I get myself into trouble if I tried to unbolt the lower links with the vehicle weight on the tires? Would I be able to get the skids bolted on?
I normally follow the manufacturer recommendations exactly but in this case the lift would make me feel safer but if it won't work, I'll need to make sure the jack stands are secure. Thanks.
