What are your HIGHWAY mpg's? 4th Gen

I started one of these threads in the 3rd gen section that ended up being very popular, now I want to hear the same for 4th gens!

I realize that there are a lot of threads that talk about "average mileage". I have actually read a ton of threads that have anything to do with gas mileage and what I have found is that most of them are giving mixed city and highway MPG's. So what I want to start a thread for HIGHWAY only fuel economy.

I was at 22 but as soon as I stopped at some lights and what not, the mileage dropped fast.

Anything else you want to add:I was getting around 18 mpg stock it dropped to around 16mpg with 265/70R17 Tires and with my newest tires I am around 15mpg (but it has been colder lately and I have been letting it warm up a little more in the mornings.)

That is some great mileage. Much higher than any other V8s I've seen! Do you hand calculate or is this from the trip computer?

I reset the mileage as I drove 22miles recently and that's what I got. I did it after i was on teh highway, though. lol

@73mph a full tank gave me 18.5mpg
@80mph a full tank gave me 16.5mpg

Anything else you want to add: Calculated by hand and added 12% for tire diameter.

Wow, I am really impressed. That V8 must not be that fazed by the extra weight and tires! Just one more reason to go with the V8 potentially.

I don't think there's any reason not to get the v8 other than price. The mileage difference isn't going to be very noticeable for you, unless you have a 100 mile a day commute.

I get the same on my 2003 4WD, same tire stats.

Current highway fuel economy: 17.5 mpg @ 78 mph, 18.5 mpg @ 73 mph, 16.5 mpg @ city driving

Anything else you want to add: In these cars you see a drastic MPG drop above 75 mph. At 85 mph you're getting around 15 MPG highway. Keep it around 70-75 for the best fuel efficiency. These are my most recent calculations with winter grade fuel. Calculated by total miles driven and divided by gallons of gas used. Compensated for 3.5% increase diameter from stock tires. V8's are amazing.
