Yeah that finally occurred to me after I got in the garage, lol. I remembered from last week when I was changing the door helper springs that the door rolled way further back down the track with the springs disconnected.
The problem is this crappy 50+ yr old pulley system is setup so that height position you see in the picture is the "equilibrium" point, or whatever you want to call it. Basically any further up or down the track would pull against the spring tension. I think for now I will just manually push it up the track like you said then hold it with a vise grip while I go in and out of the garage.
Eventually, I am going to tear it all out after the winter and shoe horn in the biggest door I can fit :naughty:
Recent trip back home. Testing out the new kayak rack. Also you can see what silver metallic plastidip looks like. It's a little too "glittery," but I still like it.

Decided it was worth driving the 1600 mile round trip come Cali to WA and back to see the wife since it was my birthday over the weekend (12 hours up Friday, 36 hours at home, 12 hours back Sunday). Got the 35k service done while I was there (still free through my dealer because of some VIP service package they gave me for free when I bought it covers me to 45K). Realized I drove 5000 miles since the end of July and didn't even drive the entire month of August..also realized I've driven 15k since one year of ownership in Feb (only did 20k the entire first year), this includes 4 roundtrips from WA to Cali and back and an additional 1 way back to cali (round about 8000 miles from that alone). Realized I need to just fly more often lol, it's becoming an 800 mile "commute". Se la vie.

Thanks! I recently did a TE conversion so no need to alter the rockers. It's good to see another Okie on here :cheers:

Adio3x Grill installed
Finally got around to installing my NEW Grill as customized by [MENTION=50186]adio3x[/MENTION] !
Looks great and will accomodate a future light bar install... Really didn't enjoy driving around with out a grill for a bit, but I think that helped my truck sorta look like a beater in Downtown Denver... lol :rofl: Also might have improved air intake for an additional 0.03 hp haha
