After three months of sliding around in snow and ice, finally got some respectable tires. Went with the DuraTracs in 255/75/17. Was a little concerned about noise, but I can hardly tell a difference between these and the POS dunlop stockers. Haven't noticed any rubbing either, very happy with them!

installed removable sliding cargo deck

I just installed a removable sliding cargo deck. (made by beyond cargo)

Super quick install- if I need more cargo space I can easily remove it.

Plus, there's storage room underneath for jumper cables, tow chain and my collapsible avalanche shovel.

You'll love them! I don't think I'll ever go back to a floor "mat" To top it off they're clean easy too.

The only thing I don't like about them is the mold over the dead pedal (the driver side left foot rest) is too low, crap gets behind the liner if you rest your foot on it.

265 Duratrac's

Got the hookup with some 265 70 17 Duratrac's on 17x8 -10 Level 8 MK6's...awesome tire, had minor, minor rubbing on right side flap, so removed both. These are P metric I know but there are literally no offroad trails here and this is my DD...very faint but pleasant hum at varying speeds, they balanced out perfectly.

What did I do to someone else's 5th gen today?

I swapped them my old wheels and tires and took off their running boards.

One awesome thing about living in a desert, his car is 14 years old and the bolts holding the running boards on all broke free with minimal torque and the nuts came off using my fingers!

How did you get the parking brake line brackets to bolt to the Sonoron Steel links? They are rotated upward from the ones on the stock links and I couldn't get the brackets for the lines to line up with the ones on the new links due to the angles, so I zip tied them.

They bolted right up no problem. The hole for the tab on the bracket was large enough I could rotate the brackets down a fair bit when loose so there is plenty of slack on the line. Also since I am OCD I bent the bracket a bit more with some pliers to allow for a bit more play on the line. Did you put the rear tab holes facing the back of the truck? Also you could drill the tab holes larger if you wanted to rotate the bracket further down if needed. Any way hope this helps..

Sorry, just saw this! It is the TE and it was at Bill Dube in Dover. I got it for $31,200 and paid another $1,900 for additional coverage and Simonize. They gave me $16,800 trade for my '07 Taco.

Nice man...I believe I test drove your car (don't worry - all on-street test driving). They quoted me $34k in late November. Good deal, I'd say.

I did bend the brackets a fair bit to get them to align with the cable better, I could gain a bit more with what I mentioned above. Also after a bit more thinking and beers we might be able to put a lock nut behind the control arm brake mount. Any way by doing this and keeping it a bit loose it would act as a rocker for the line.

Forgot to mention I have longer sway bar links that will contact the brake line if I wiggle it up and down on level ground. After looking at this I am sure I am fine with my current set up.
