What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

tint, you probably would think different if your a cop and you walk up to a dark tint drivers side in the dark and they roll down the window with a gun pointing at you.

my state wont even allow front tint due to this simple fact.

I am a former LEO and never thought twice about it; a weapon is easily concealable with the window down anyway. I do not even think there are statistics on the number of shootings that have taken place in which tinted windows were a factor in the shooting, it would be just that rare for it to be a factor. Anyway, I do not think criminals should have so much influence over what people can do...

But off topic...

On topic - today I washed my 4runner, and I am really thinking about some sliders to replace the running boards. I think the sliders can serve the same purpose as the running boards, I will look at some pics on this forum of them.

Today I was fantasizing about putting the new shoes on my 4R.

In a few weeks I'll have my lift on and the new treads! Just waiting for some free time and warmer weather. It's going to look so good!

El Camino del Diablo

Took the El Camino del Diablo from Welton to Ajo, Arizona near the Mexican border. Very nice trail which I've done three times. Once in a 51 Willys, once in my old RAV4, and now in my new baby. Love this 4Runner SO much.

Thanks for the tip, still a newb here and haven't found that thread yet.

And my secret, marry a tomboy and your life will be wonderful. She owns the family gun, the family pickup (Taco) and doesn't need to camp near a physical bathroom if you know what I mean. I love her almost as much as my 4Runner. LOL!

I actually had them custom made last week by an awesome fabricator here in Phoenix. Andy from All Day Fab. I did not care for the N-Fab ones. The logo they cut into them was a bit too "Affliction shirt" for me and I just wanted something discreet.

If enough of us are interested, he might make a few and sell them. I'll get better photos up here soon.

Great observation. Officer safety is a concern, but the public's safety at large, is of greater concern. Drivers need to see and be seen, as they operate on the public's roadways. Motorcyclists and other drivers, need to see the driver of the other vehicle, to know their communicated intentions, by nod or hand signal. Businesses who install illegal tinting in violation of the motor vehicle code (federal & state) do so, at their own liability. Rest assured, all major accidents are investigated for cause and responsibility. Legal judgements are decided and responsibility is fixed, for criminal negligence and financial accountability. The motor vehicle code is written for compliance. It's LE's responsibility to protect the public and enforce it, on those who don't wish to comply.
